My first and only abstract … bridge over the Severn River heading in to the Naval Academy. I’m honored that my dear cousin has framed it, and it’s growing on me. Maybe I’ll play with more like this.

Pochade: A pochade (from French poche, pocket) is a type of rough sketch used in painting. A pochade captures the colors and atmosphere of a scene. It is a painting done very quickly, with few strokes. Generally, pochades use a small, portable format.

Here is my new painting. If you like this painting, you should go to the “ink” tab, and you should donate to the kids in Syria because it’s really horrible what is happening there. Today. And then I’ll send you a card for every dollar. So it’s like TWO birds for your stone.

Inspired by the live-laugh-love ladies!

I haven’t found time to paint since I started this site, but I have been reading daily about the heart wrenching Syrian crisis. So, consider donating and help me remove some of the kindling from my basement! 🙂
